This is a new kind for me, in the past I’ve had all aluminum ones, which last forever, this one has some kind of foam in it, that doesn’t come apart when washing it. This type seems to filter better than the all aluminum ones as well, so i think it’s probably the right compromise, where it lasts a very long time, flows really well, yet filters really well too.I’ve only had it in the AC for a short time, but it seems to be picking up dirt faster than the paper ones, while flowing so much more air that you can feel a different coming out of the vents (this should save electricity as well)

I don’t really know much about HVAC filters but this one seems to be doing what it’s supposed to do.

Everything is as described and the filters are good quality. The size listed is nearly exact. I gave it 4 stars because it seems a bit pricey for a pair of filters. Other than that, they are great.

With the price of air conditioning and heating air filters continuing to rise obtaining these Montemono MERV8 Aluminum Electrostatic Air Filters was fantastic.I had one for my larger air conditioning unit so I knew how they worked. They are easy to install. Monthly I remove them and clean them using a garden hose. Not having to buy new filters saves me a great deal of money.

So really the question is the longevity of this filter. Since you can wash it and re-use it the big question ultimately will be for how long. So since this is new I will give it 5 stars as it works as it is suppose to. If it does not last or we have trouble cleaning it I will update the review! So for now 5 stars!!!
