APCO is a good name in the air purification business. The Standard unit is one of four products in this family. It uses a UC-C quartz hot filament tube that requires A 18-32 VAC source. Most Home HVAC systems already have A 24 Vac source and should be able to power this unit that only requires 16 VA. The TUVL-115 UV lamp that come with this product is good for one year and a replacement can be found easily for less than $40.00Installation was very easy and the instructions provided were easy to follow :Measure using their template and cut a hole into the supply duct. The source duct can also be used but the former is preferred. !.Insert the supplied mounting plate, and either use screws in a metal duct or bend in the tabs for the duct board types.Insert the separately packaged UV tube into the main unit, connect the plug, then insert into the mounting plate inside the duct. Connect the unit to the 24 VAC supply and finish by fastening the cover over the main unit. When operating, (can verify through the viewing hole) the titanium dioxide infused carbon cells that surround the UV tube seem to do a great job absorbing any ozone emitted by the UV lamp !This product is high quality, easy to install with few tools ,with the good instructions provided!

Installation of this unit is fairly straightforward and easy. Instructions are clear. In my case it was installed on a rooftop unit so it easily attaches to the wall in the blower plenum. It can be wired directly into the panel. For a vertical unit typically found in homes you can install through the wall in the main return duct. There is a template to cut out the right hole placement. In this case you can wire it back into the panel or if you have a nearby outlet available you can buy a plug in voltage adapter to power the unit. The body is good quality and should be easy to replace the bulb. Overall this is easy to install and seems to be working, but it is difficult to quantify the effectiveness.

This is well made, durable and works as intended. No complaints so far and hope to get use out of this for a long time.

This product works great. It is a UV light made to be installed in the air handling section of your air conditioner. It works best installing it just beyond the “A” coil or “Z” coil depending on your particular setup. It can be installed in either a split system or an all-in-one system. It requires a 24 volt ac power supply (which most ac systems have a line voltage to 24v ac transformer internal to them) and includes the splice connectors and leads to attach to the low volt side of a transformer. It does require you to drill a hole in the duct section of the air handler, so a qualified technician is recommended. The UV light kills 99.8% of airborne bacteria/viruses that may be trying to find a new host, so this will assist in keeping your home free from those nasty little health dwindling bugs looking to get you. I highly recommend a product like this, although dropped my review to 4 stars as the price is quite a bit high, although probably less than what most AC technicians will try to sell the same setup to you for.

Revised: This was an easy product to install. When I installed it, I miss read the power instructions and blew out the internal transformer. The seller has been awesome in their support getting me the correct parts to repair the unit. Now it works great. I can not say enough praise for the product and the support I received.
